Passengers of Time

Life begins on a moving train—
a quiet boarding, the world rushing past,
and a coach that cradles us forward.
Unstoppable, its wheels hum in a steady rhythm—
a song of time we rarely hear.

We wander through its carriages,
each one a stage of life—
childhood dreams, fleeting jobs, newfound loves.
Some choose to stay, rooted in their seats,
while others explore,
searching for something more within the familiar train.

But beyond our windows,
other trains rush alongside—their wheels clattering like echoes,
some close enough to leap aboard,
others veering into the distance.
To leave the comfort of our carriage
is to leap into the unknown—
a heartbeat’s gamble,
a flight toward mystery.

Every train is filled with passengers,
their lives briefly woven with ours.
Some linger,
their presence shaping the journey like familiar whispers.
Others part ways,
leaving only a fading echo,
as their train veers off on its own path.

And when someone’s journey ends,
they are cast from the train—
their absence etched in memory,
a reminder of how fleeting connections can be.
For a time, we carry their story,
but the train does not stop.
Eventually, their memory drifts away,
lost in the endless rhythm of wheels.

Life is this:
a journey through carriages,
a leap between moving trains,
a series of choices made
as time races forward, unyielding.
We ride on,
carried by tracks unseen,
each moment a fleeting station, the horizon stretching endlessly.
